Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle

Summary: This book is mainly about a lady named Mrs. Piggle Wiggle is an old lady. Children like her and she likes them to. She was once married to a pirate . Miss Piggle Wiggle used to tell all of the kids her stories and all them were calm. They used to tell her, "Tell us more stories" and she always brought them cookies.


Review: I liked this book because I liked how she treated the kids. I liked how Miss Piggle-Wiggle told the kids about her husband who used to be a pirate. When I grow up, I want to take care of kids.

Dracula

Summary: Dracula is about a guy named Jonathan Harker goes to deliver a package to the dracula place. On his way there he got in a carrage with a husband & wife.The wife gave Jonathan a cross, so he will be protected from Dracula. Jonathan was writing to his family back at home & Dracula was going to bite him but, as soon as Jonathan turned Dracula was at his neck. Then Jonathan pulled out the cross and Dracula's face started to burn.







Review: I didn't like this book because it was boring & it did not give alot of description. But although it was an ok book if I say so myself. I think any student should read this book.

Roxie and the Hooligans

Summary: One day Roxie and her mom were waiting for uncle Danger Foot to walk through the door. When he walked through the door Roxie and her mom got excited. When Roxie went to school, the bullies messed with her. They got into a garbage truck and got thrown onto a boat. They all end up on an island together.



Review: I liked the book because Roxie was brave. My favorite part was when Roxie had to sleep in the tree on the island. I think little kids, both boys and girls, will like this book because it is funny.

Summary: This book is mainly about one little girl named Annemarie. She was 12 years old, and she had a very best friend named Ellen. That year the war started and the Nazis were going to kill all the Jewish people. Guess what? Annemarie's best friend Ellen was Jewish. The soldiers said that people could not hide there Jewish friends. Annemarie was not Jewish,only her friend. The 2 best friends and Annemarie's mom went to another house where her mom's friend lived and they went there so the soldiers could not find Ellen.


Review: I liked this book because it was kind of fun. But it was scary because probably they could find Ellen and her parents.

Life, Love, and the Pursuit of Free Throws

Summary: It is about three students that play basketball. Cami likes Ethan but she's really nervous to talk to him so her friend Josie helps her. Cami and Ethan go to the movies together. Cami gets jealous because this other girl that goes to her school likes Ethan too. So that girl flirts with Ethan and she gets mad. Josie had a game one they and Cami and the other girl played too so they were trying to impress Ethan by who plays basketball better. Cami got to go out with Ethan and her and the other girl made friends.

Review: I liked this book because it was about three students from high school that play basketball. It was funny, and Ireally liked the part where Cami and Ethan went to the movies. I would recommend this book to teenage girls.

Summary: Eduardo was playing with the bike and his friends. The big door had one poster on it that said KEEP OUT. Eduardo and his friend hopped over the fence. They fell to the floor and got in a lot of trouble.

Review: I liked this book because of the adventure. It was also a little bit scary. I think boys would like this book because it shows boys getting into trouble.

Summary: Sheila was a girl who went on vacations to Terrytown.There she met Mouse a girl who knows how to use the yoyo. Sheila was afraid to go to the pool because she didn't know how to swim,so her mom put her in swimming lessons. She was mad because she didn't want to go.They had a dog named Jennifer but Sheila doesn't like dogs because she gets hives from them.Then it was time to go back where she came from, so before she left she wanted to thank everyone before she left,she made a party and then she went back home.But next summer she is going to back to Terrytown.


Review: Yes I liked this book because it showed how Sheila had a great vacation without forgetting her old town. She had great adventures and met new friends in a new town.I liked it too because it showed me new stuff that I didn't know before.

Summary: Ben and his mom are trying to escape from the past.It has been haunting him for years. Ben is covered with bruises. He never told his friends or his teacher because he really has a big problem.



Review: I like it because Ben tried to stop his problems. I could connect to this book because it reminded me of when I lived in the apartments. I think other boys will like this book because it has a lot of action.

Review:I like this story because it was kinda fantasy with a little bit of romance.The part I like was when Lief met Jasmine ,and he was just looking at her. If you like fantasy, this might be the book for you.

Review: I liked this book because it teaches readers a good lesson: Read in school!

But wen the days ware passing he start liking her each day more. the weeks ware passing faster and joey need to go with his mom again . He was sad but happy of the same time spending time with his dad.

Review: I liked this book. I liked it because it was funny but interesting at the same time.

Holes

Summary: The book Holes is about this kid named Stanley Yelnats.They accuse him of stealing some shoes but he claims he's innocent but they did not believe him. He has a chose either to go to jail or to camp Green Lake. They send him to camp for the shoes when he gets there he gets 2 pair of clothes one for work and to stay clean. Now he has to dig some holes but he finds out that there digging for something special.

Review: I think this book is really good it is really interesting. You should really check it out. If you like adventure you are going to like it.
